Terms of use

These terms govern your use of Odzy (the “Platform”), operated by Odzy (legal entity name to be added). By creating an account or using the Platform you agree to them.

1. What Odzy is

Odzy is an online marketplace that lets people across India post advertisements and contact each other. We are an intermediary. We do not own, inspect, sell, deliver or guarantee any item, and we are not a party to any transaction between users. Payments and meetings happen directly between users, at their own risk.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
• You sign in with your email address and a password, or with Google or Facebook. We email you codes to verify your address and to confirm sign-ins from new browsers. Keep your password and mailbox secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• You must give a working Indian mobile number. We do not verify it yet, so treat numbers shown on ads as unverified.
• Give accurate information. One person, one account.

3. Posting ads

• You may only post items you own or are authorised to sell, with honest photos, descriptions and prices.
• You must not post prohibited items (see Prohibited items), misleading or duplicate ads, or ads that collect advance payments or personal data.
• Do not include phone numbers or external links in ad text. Buyers contact you through Odzy.
• Ads may be reviewed, edited for safety, hidden or removed at our discretion, with a reason shown to you where possible. Ads expire after 60 days unless renewed.

4. Conduct

Do not harass, threaten or defraud others, spam, scrape the Platform, bypass our safety measures, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or ban accounts that break these terms or the law.

5. Safety and responsibility

Meet in public places, inspect items before paying and never pay in advance. We provide safety tips and reporting tools but cannot verify every user or ad. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from dealings between users.

6. Content licence

You keep ownership of what you post, and give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and promote it on the Platform for as long as it is live.

7. Takedown and complaints

Report an ad or user with the “Report” button, or write to our Grievance Officer (see Contact). We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days, and we act on lawful orders from authorities.

8. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bhubaneswar, Odisha have jurisdiction, subject to applicable law.
