Safety tips for buyers and sellers

Most deals on Odzy are safe. These habits keep them that way.

• Meet in public

  Choose a busy public place such as a mall, cafe or police station, in daylight. Bring a friend if you can.

• Inspect before you pay

  Check the item properly. For phones check IMEI and bill; for vehicles check RC, insurance and service history.

• Never pay in advance

  Do not send "token money", delivery charges or registration fees to someone you have not met.

• Beware of fake UPI requests

  You never need to enter a UPI PIN or scan a QR code to RECEIVE money. Scanning a code only sends money.

• Never share OTPs

  Odzy and genuine buyers never ask for your bank OTP, card details or Aadhaar number.

• Be careful of "army officer" or "transferred" stories

  Sellers who claim to be urgently transferred and offer very low prices are a classic scam.

• Report suspicious ads
